The problem with using tubes to connect cages is that they unfortunately do not add any extra floor space! Floor space is defined as an uninterrupted area that a hamster can run through without stopping or having to change motions. Unfortunately, a hamster must stop and crawl through a tube to get into the other side so it doesn't quite count. The best way to attach another cage/bin is by cutting out the side panel and attaching the two bins with zip ties
