Thank you very much, Serendipity, Cypher, Jeir, Amityville & Drago for your responses. I really appreciate it. The one suggestion I implemented immediately was placing a box of baking soda in the room. (Thanks, Drago!) I also checked online for air purifiers and pet odor remover products. I will definitely avoid products that require direct contact with the hamster. So many great suggestions and comments. Thank you!

Next time, I'll choose a male, but hopefully I'll have this little one for her full lifespan. I still can't believe how tame she is and immediately after bringing her home, too!
