Only you can make the decision on whether to separate them or not, since you are the one observing them. However, if you worry they might need separating soon, then better sooner than later. I think they probably will be happier apart and if you do it now, you won't have the worry of cleaning them up after a fight. They will also be able to have more space and let's face it, pairs are far more worrying than single hamsters.
