I cage of that could probably last for a couple of weeks without cleaning, as long as you immediately clean it after your trip (and before of course). Traveling (through a plane) is a terrible thing for a hamster, if you are intending to take one with you.
I think a pregnant women can still be AROUND a cage, and feeding the hamster, but not ever touching the hamster completely. A couple weeks without human contact is probably okay too.
I don't know any U.K. commercial cages, sorry, but you can try making a simple bin cage.
