Hi all

I brought a new syrian home from the pet store a few days ago and they told me it was a girl. Now she appears to be a long hair but after doing some reading I've seen it mentioned that long hair males have a 'skirt' whereas the females don't. This new one definitely has a skirt and two tufts like long thin wings coming from the hind quarters on either side.

Our first Syrian short hair was clearly male (I took him to the vet because I thought he had a hernia and it cost me £30 to be told he was just well endowed LOL). Are long Haired male bits hidden beneath the hair usually or more obvious?

Have been calling the poor thing Lola but feel a name change may be in order!
