Unfortunately,you're going to need a different cage
Modular cages are not suitable for hamsters or any animal for that matter.The tubes are very bad for their respiratory health,and can be far too small for an adult Syrian so adult Syrians often end up getting stuck in tubes.Plus,modular cages are only for the benefit of humans and are nowhere near as good as a large cage that is all one floor space with no tubes which is less expensive!
If you need a quick and affordable cage,definitely go with bin cages.They're wonderful and can be expanded as much as you can handle,and the expansion is not difficult at all but is truly adding more floor space unlike modular systems
