There is ventilation holes in the front too, but i see what you mean.
Never gets to hot in Norway, and it should be fine if i keep my window a bit open on the hottest days.. or i might have to get the cage down in the basement... IF it get's really hot.

Ill take a picture of it when i'm done

If it's not working out, i just have to get mesh instead!
No biggie!

Edit: Or i could put in some vents on the sides.
