Dont blame yourself for this. You cannot be sure what was wrong with Hamtaro. It could have been a tumour if you could feel a lump. Hammies are very good at hiding being ill. He had a good long life with you and you clearly loved him and cared for him very much. You held him and kept him warm as he slipped away to the bridge. It was just his time and he would have known you were there.
Play well at the bridge Hamtaro, now you are restored to full health.
Hug for you floppy, it is never easy to lose our little ones. We all understand here.
