They do hoard most of their food
In my experience they like to eat from the hoard and have it near their bed so they can snack in bed
So it's true, if you put a lot of food out, it will all get hoarded. I wouldn't reduce it too much or she will panic that there is a food shortage and start peeing on it maybe. Or pooping in her food bowl. Maybe just reduce it a little bit, gradually. I'd say a level tablespoon a day is about right, but I sometimes let that go two days.
Although it seems like a waste, they do like to have a big hoard in winter.
