Can you get a ceramic bowl to use as a litter tray instead?That is one way to solve at least part of the issue for now,but in general replacing plastic items or removing them is the best you can do.Keep in mind she still might not be entirely happy even with the 100 x 50 cage.

When she gets the new cage,watch for any odd and continuous behavior such as chewing at sealant,corner digging,pacing,jumping at walls etc.If these behaviors continue even when your hamster is settled into a new cage,it can definitely be a good indicator of boredom and therefore a need to get an even bigger cage.
