Oh dear. They find a way to chew something they're not supposed to one way or another, don't they? You'll probably need to keep an eye on her teeth as chewing metal can break their teeth or make them become misaligned. That can be a problem because it means they don't grind down against each other.
I'm not sure you'd want to remove the bars from the detolf though as it is designed to have the frame in there, I don't know if the glass would be strong enough without it. Could you try covering the bars with cardboard as a temporary measure and if there are particular areas she is focusing on, could you try blocking them up with a house or something? I know a couple of people have had this problem before so hopefully one of them can give you some tips of what helped them.
