I think odor would be worse in tanks than barred cages.Something like a Savic Mickey 2XL would be expensive at first,but could have more benefits than a tank especially if odor seems to be a problem.It would make perfect sense for it to become worse in tanks though,as there is much less airflow and ammonia would build up more.
I'll have to figure out the exact odor on my own though as would anyone else
It is worth thinking about though,as no cage is entirely perfect and they all have their own drawbacks and benefits.
