Do remember that color is only one part of a good quality show hamster. Body type, size and fur quality also must be included in your decisions for pairing up potential mates if breeding for show quality. So if your Black male has the same faults as the female even that would not be a good cross. With the second pairing it would again be the same results as above if she doesn't carry for black BUT unless both carry for cream the 2nd pair would be better then the first pair as far as breeding show quality colors.

Do you have pedigrees of the mentioned pairings? It is very important to know what genes are carried in both parents as well as what faults may run in a line as you want to avoid doubling up on any faults which will take away from the hamsters scores at a show. I wish you good luck in your breeding plans.
