Re: Vet costs, most you've spent on one hamster?
I have to pick him up by the scruff of his neck & pray I can be successful every morning.
I found that using a damp washcloth gives me a better grip than a dry one. He can'twiggle too much but he clenched his teeth so it's difficult to tell if he is getting the full dose? Afterwards I don't see any med on or around his mouth, so it's not dripping out so I think I'm successful. I'm going to try to aim for the cheek pouch here on out. I feel that he's taken the full dose every morning. He doesn't hate me for this, he probably thinks I'm his mommy? Cause that's how his mother carried him as a baby.
