Hi cathj88, has this come on suddenly and has he shown any improvement since you posted yesterday? He is a good age and sometimes hamsters will suddenly look of show signs of something wrong and then bounce back again, but the symptoms you describe sound as though something is amiss. Laboured breathing and noises could mean he`s feeling pain in some form and compensating. Is he eating/drinking still?

Does he stumble or seems unable to stay upright? Let us know what`s happened since you posted.
