Default I scared her and now she's terrified of me...

So yesterday I had Miranda out on my knee and she seemed really calm, she was letting me stroke her and feed her treats. My mum was in the next room and she knocked over a glass and Miranda freaked out and started to try to run away so I tried to pick her up without scaring her but she started squealing because she was scared. She hadn't squealed like that since the day I brought her home so my mum thought something was wrong and come into the room... That probably wasn't the best idea since that made her even more frantic, I picked her up but she was still wriggling around and making her horrible pig noises I managed to get her back into her cage and she just sat there for a few seconds and then literally bolted to her hideout.

Early this morning (around 3 am) I went to check on her and she was out in sitting in her food bowl and she she squealed again and ran away from me. She's usually so friendly and comes out of her hideaway and climbs up her bars whenever she see's me. I haven't seen her since then and I'm really worried, I've shut the bedroom door and made sure it was dark in the room to try and calm her down. The only time I've been in her cage today was to re fill her food.

I know that she probably just needs to be left alone as much as possible for the next few days but is there anything else I should do? It just makes me so sad to think how much it must have scared her and knowing that she probably won't ever trust me again. I'm so mad at myself for panicking and handling the situation so horribly.
