Default Re: can 11 inch wheel fit in zoozone 2

Hi. I am sure an 11" wheel fits but not sure if a 12" one does. The 27cm Senior wodent wheel is a good size. It's an 11" wheel but only about 30cm tall, whereas some 11" wheels are 31 or 32cm tall. It's also a good sized wheel for a Syrian hamster. Not too big not too small. Unless you have a particularly large Syrian. Petplanet usually sell it but they've been out of stock for a while. The only other stockist I know is the sugarglider shop, but you can choose your colour on there

I think what most people do is have lower substrate in the wheel area, maybe fenced off with a bendy bridge, and deeper substrate in the rest of the cage. I think internal height in the Zoozone 2 is approx 31 to 32cm.

There's a picture of the 27cm wodent wheel in a Zoozone 2 on this thread if you scroll down - it's the all blue wheel.

Another picture of a 27cm wodent wheel in a Zoozone 2 on this thread (the pale blue and white wheel) - so it obviously fits at the end as well as in the centre. So yes an 11" wheel fits

Let's see your cages (from January 2014)

This one has the 29cm Karlie Wonderland wheel in - so that clearly fits too. Actually I really like that set up - with the big platform and a flying saucer as well as a 29cm wheel! The Karlie 29cm wheel is either 32 or 33cm tall so you can't go any bigger than that with a wheel I guess.

So you could choose between the 27cm wodent wheel, 28cm Trixie wheel or 29cm Karlie Wonderland wheel.

This is the Trixie wheel. The karlie wonderland wheel seems hard to get hold of these days.
