This is a really weird idea, but when I was making my Ikea Billy cage, I got silicon all over the glass. I used a combination of acetone, white spirit, WD40 and I think an metal wool pad or something to get it off. However, you would need to wash the cage thoroughly after and let it air If not, try heating a craft knife (like the X-acto knives or a Stanley knife) or the silicon and cutting through it. You can buy craft knives at Hobbycraft. Good luck!
