Default Re: Hiding behind her house?!

Cage cleaning is very stressful for hams so just let her settle quietly & she should come round again fairly soon.

Did you do a full cage clean?
It's best to just spot clean daily, remove any pee or damp bedding & fresh foods that may be left from the previous day.
Do a partial cage clean about once a month, with a syrian you can just remove some of the top layer of substrate, never clean the whole cage removing all the substrate in one go.
If you clean toys or the wheel do it on a different day, not at the same time as cleaning the cage.
When you clean the nest area always put back some of the old nest material.
Never remove all the food hoard either, just leave it where you find it or if it looks a bit old or has any veg or other fresh foods in with it replace it with some fresh food mix.
If you do that she will always have some of her scent & scent trails remaining, feel much more secure & less stressed.
