I agree. I started by giving Sweep his food in his bowl, and hiding his treats rather than hand feeding them, then I did half his food in his bowl and alf scattered and gave him less in his bowl and more scattered each time. Now he is scatter fed totally except fresh food and new foods which go in his bowl
He enjoys searching for his food now (though he won't admit that LOL)
