But the solid pine gets the same treatment as the kiln dried shaving making all of it safe. But you would need to make sure it's kiln dried on the bag to make sure that it has gone through the process to remove the phenols and acids

So untreated kiln dried shavings if there is such a thing? Think it's just plain pine shavings then they get treated and become the kiln dried.
