yes, just saw this thread again, and I should have said that I use the white because it shows up the yellow urine stains. I do believe that a sand bath near his house is an excellent idea as my WW immediately started using it as a potty. Will save me money on bedding now
I wouldn't be surprised if my other dwarves don't use the sand bath as a potty on occasion too because the urine evaporates in the chinchilla sand after it dries. All my hamsters are due for a cage clean but after I put those sand baths in their cages don't need cleaning much.
