Can you tell if she's scratching at all? Also, is she elderly? Is this the first time you've noticed it?

If it's not mites or age related fur loss you might want to take her to an exotic vet. They would be able to tell if they want to rule out mites or not? Usually there is continual scratching tho with mites.

It could be several different things but I'd only be guessing where a vet would be able to let you know I would think quickly. But definitely make sure it is an exotic vet if you take her in for an exam. Sorry this is happening.
