Default Re: Which food should I get from Zooplus?

I personally haven't found a single hamster mix that is completely suitable.

For my Syrian, I use Burgess Supa Hamster Harvest as a base.
I removed all the corn (except a few small flake pieces). Whenever I feed her I add a couple of meal worms for the added protein and a couple of Science Selective hamster pellets. Instead of filling up a whole dish I scatter feed a small handful daily. I also give dried veg and millet as treats for taming.

For my two dwarves, I use Burgess Dwarf Hamster Harvest. I remove all of the corn because they don't like it, and I remove the majority of the peas because they're sugary and they tend to eat these and ignore the rest. This mix is completely different and includes more smaller seeds than the regular Hamster Harvest. I add one mealworm per day and one crushed Science Selective per day plus the same treats as my Syrian gets for taming. I put a smaller handful (roughly a teaspoon) of the mix per day in a small dish as they are still quite new to our home and I am still monitoring their food intake. They do tend to ignore the small hay pellets though.
