That depends on the size and height.If you put a tank on a tall dresser,it will definitely not be a fun situation when it comes to cleaning and interaction!If you can find a cheaper dresser or something(not as likely as most cost around the same amount unless you get extremely lucky with thrift shopping and used furniture)it might work well,but unless you do that it really isn't very cost effective especially if you have to get several tanks
