Agreeing with souffle here! Two years old is far too old for a female to have a litter, plus you need to have more knowledge of colours and genetics before you even think about breeding, as there are some genes that are very bad when mixed together. A "dark brown" hamster and a "white with brown patches" hamster could be anything really, there are a number of different colours that I have heard called "brown" by people that don't know the official names.

Plus while cats and hamsters can be in the same household, if the cat is able to get at the hamsters to do some damage, that is certainly not a good place to try and raise baby hamsters in.

Also you say you've introduced other hamsters before -- were they Syrians or dwarfs? Do you know the species of your current hamsters, are they Syrians? Syrians are strictly solitary and must never be introduced except for short periods of time when the female is in heat for breeding purposes.
