I might be getting a camera for my birthday. I am tempted to get the same one we got little boy, but I actually don't need something waterproof and rugged and there are good ones that are cheaper than that. Somehow I've ended up not having my own camera after I sold one a couple of years ago intending to get another, and then just kept using other half's (which has fiddly buttons) and little boy's.

So just wondered if anyone could recommend their compact camera. Don't want anything big like an expensive dslr as I only take snaps these days.
