That's a good idea! I'll have to make super sure he's tame enough though, our house is so old and I'm sure there are a million holes he could hide in! Once I've finished all my uni work I'll try to start hamster proofing the room too
My partner is a chef so he's out early and back late, I just think he's not used to his presence yet as we've only had him two weeks
he's still a fluffy baby and falls asleep after his ball and bathtub marathons, which are usually before my partner gets home so its not really surprising that he's so timid around him! I did suggest a fold away playpen last night but was firmly shot down
