I don't breed (yet), but I do have two males and a female Syrian in my bedroom
I find that the boys don't seem to act any different in their cage when my girl's on heat, but they do get very interested if I handle them after I have handled her, whether she is on heat or not!
They start licking my hands and any parts of my clothes that she's been on, it's actually quite amusing
