Aw - I know you really wanted a dwarf hamster this time after having Syrians. Would your current cage be suitable for a dwarf hamster? (Just wondering if your parents are freaking out about costs of getting a different cage).
It's hard when your ready for another hamster and they aren't. As Velma says, bend over backwards to do good stuff and then ask again! You could maybe show them some youtube videos of dwarf hamsters (good youtube videos that is!)
