We all have our own talents!Mine is definitely not anything related to math.Honestly DIY cages can get really expensive or they could be really cheap,it just depends on the exact way they get made and what materials and all that.

Definitely lots of taming would help,especially focusing on positive reinforcement and making every single interaction a positive one.Maybe if she accepts going into a cup or something work from there instead of picking her up right away,and using positive methods you would for example give her a reward such as a seed or nut or some form of a treat every time she interacts with you even in the smallest way.It's a method that works with all animals be it dogs,cats,rabbits,horses,parrots,and even rats and other rodents!
