Hi - I think the hammy needs a new cage as soon as possible. The wheel is tiny and the hammy could start developing back problems. The Alaska cage at Zooplus is only £34.99 and would be a good cage for a Syrian hamster, and the 100cm Barney cage would be even better - a cage for life - and that's reduced at the moment to £44.99.
Do you think you could do a deal with the seller? eg offer £25 or say you don't want the cage and offer £15 instead. The current cage could be useful as somewhere to put a hammy while cage cleaning, as a play area.
