I don't believe breeding from Pet shop dwarves would be considered ethical breeding as you don't know what health issues are in their genetics. Breeding is better done for the betterment of the species, unless of course you bring home a pregnant hamster from a pet shop but there is no way to start ethical breeding from the bottom. You would need hamsters with a good ancestry.

Maybe others members may know better about this subject? This is just my opinion
