If the vet recommended her to be PTS then I think you made the right decision. The tumor could have caused other problems and if she was in pain that isn't a good way to live without constant pain medicine and even then you wouldn't know exactly how much pain she is in as hamsters mask their pain very well I heard.
I wouldn't feel like you betrayed her, I think that's natural to feel that way whenever you have a pet PTS. Her tumor could have ruptured when the vet was closed (in the middle of the night) and then she would be in an even greater amount of pain.
