That is very good to know Serendipity. I don't used the bits of hay at all because Mocho ignores them. As for the wheat ears I put about half of one in a Sputnik and he eats it there so I have to clean out the debris left on the mat! The dried slices are usually too large so I tear them into smaller pieces ( giving them as occasional treat) and they always disappear in the night.
