What sort of hamster is she? Is it because you feel she is too much for you to look after? 3 is quite old but personally I wouldn't have her put down before she is ready to die. Are you moving house too or just moving the hamster to a new home? I wasn't sure from your post. It is true that moving is stressful for a hamster and it is much more stressful if you are not going with them as they look to you for their security. But if there is no other way round it, if she is in good health and still active I think it would be better to rehome her than have her put down as she has a chance of life. She may settle ok and have a bit more of her life to enjoy. Tell us more details as there are things you can do to help her settle if you have to move her
