Hey everyone thank you for all the advice!
The thing is that she seems not to know when to get up until it is fully dark. She will stay sleeping late into the night if I don't turn off the light or cover her cage and she will stay active late into the day if I don't uncover the box and provide light. So I guess a red light is the best fix here
