Depends, If from a hobby breeder who knows what the standard is for LH Hamsters and sets their goals to achieve that standard they are not at all uncommon, but from a pet store it will be hit or miss on a long flowing correct coat. It also has a huge amount to do with their coats care also so give yourself a pat on the back for tending Little Bears coat properly so it can grow and flow instead of be a tangled mess.

Thank you very much but I'll have to hand the credit over to Little Bear. I used to brush him but I saw that it did more harm than good. So I let him do it himself and he seems happy. Matting is rare but when it does happen I just snip it off. The only thing I did was get him his Fibercore Eco bedding.
