As far as I`m aware, the best bacterial killer is plain bleach. Read the instructions on the bottle for best advice, but you do need to make sure the tank is thoroughly rinsed with hot water and then dried and left to air for a bit to make sure no smells remain. Ideally you could get the tank outside and power wash it as well as bleaching. That should do the trick. No need to use anything else. x
