Hamster Central - View Single Post - How to properly clean previous turtle tank?

Alright so I had this turtle for awhile you see, she was kept in water in this really big tank. Recently we had to get rid of her so we kept the tank and now I want to use the tank for my hamster because it's very large. We've cleaned out the gross water and food bits that were in there so that it's empty, but what precautions should I take to actually disinfect it and ready it for my hamster?
