I think all hamster foods I have come across have peanuts in unfortunately. I'm not a fan of the nuggets, I wouldn't want to deprive my hamster of a varied diet and being able to pick out what they enjoy; nuts and seeds are always a favourite in my experience.

How severe are your sons allergic reactions? I have many allergies including peanuts and peas, though fortunately do not experience anaphylaxis from breathing in or touching trace amounts. I find I am fine using a spoon to put the feed in the cage and make sure to wash my hands after and not touch my face, especially eyes or lips, Not a nice mistake to make!
