Your friend who got the hamster for her little brother was on charge of looking after it, I'm not at all surprised the hamster is being taken back to P@H, no hamster deserves to be treated like that.
The SSPCA have a load of unwanted rats that owners have abandoned and she's only adding more work for them. As for getting a cat, she really is naive. Every pet needs looking after and cared for, I really feel for the cat.
Lifewithpets, like you I'm so glad Flump is in a forever home and being looked after and as for this girl, someone should tell her that pets are for life, for better for worse.
