As you know Ebony chewed through her alexander base so we made a wooden liner so she couldn't escape, it's higher than the plastic base, her platforms are higher than the wooden liner, her wonderland is in the middle of the cage so the substrate can't be deep there, the leif house is under one of the platforms which leaves all the space under the other platform with the additional height of her wooden liner for deep substrate, this works well for Ebony so I'm wondering if you could get away with no DIY skills at all on the Alexander, you could raise one platform to the height you wanted it to be and just put either some wood, or polycarbonate, (because that cuts much easier than plexiglass), or even cardboard against the bars under the platform and fill that area right up with substrate to dig in?
