I was just thinking that. I had a minor alarm recently thinking our male hamster had a pink lump and it was his testicles 'descended' - apparently it happens when they get warm. What shape is your hamster at the back? Boys have a bigger back end that sticks out in a kind of oval shape. Females have a more rounded shorter back end. Here's a diagram!
