Default Re: Chocolate found in cage

I'm in the UK and I know what a Hershey bar is; I've had one in fact and that was from a UK shop. However, I digress.

Chocolate can be fatal so first of all empty the cage to ensure it's not simply been stashed. Secondly, try to find out who put it in and how much - but please don't be nasty/mean to them as they were perhaps only trying to be kind and once a confession has been made you absolutely cannot punish them. Punish a youngster for being honest and they'll never be honest again.

Thirdly, ring your vet and explain that your ham may have consumed some chocolate but you're not sure and they may be able to advise you over the phone.

Fourthly and most important; keep an eye on him. Any sign he's unwell you must take him to your vet.

Good luck.
