Have you searched the cage to see if any chocolate has been stashed anywhere? I would do a complete cage clean just to be sure there's no uneaten chocolate in there & try to find out just how much went in compared to how much you found.
If your ham has eaten some it could be very serious, keep a close eye out for any changes or signs of ill health in your ham & consult a vet if need be in case it has actually eaten it.
