Well, there are a lot of lumps and bumps on hamster feet, so it may be nothing unusual. Are you able to compare his feet to see if one is different?

How long has he been jumpy? If it just started, has anything changed recently? Did anything happen in the neighbourhood, like construction or fireworks that could have upset him? Hammies have very sensitive ears, more sensitive than ours, so it's possible he heard something from far away. Also any new animals in the neighbourhood that may have paid a visit, especially carnivores like cats and dogs, can really upset them for a time.
