I prefer it when inappropriate posts are not commented on with more inappropriate posts. I like the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all". Using the report button is the better way to go than adding fuel to a fire. That's what trolls in particular want us to do, get riled up, give attention. Admittedly I have to check myself with this as well. It can be easy to get sucked in.
