Er... Its best to look at whats best for the ham. I was just answering the original question and trying to explain that really there is no minimum - its all down to the individuals and the hamsters and if you look around the forum there're at least 2-3 different commonly stated minimums for each species (and more that aren't stated as often).
In short... Some have different minimums for syrians and dwarf hams, others don't. Everyone has different reasons but no-one is definetly right and no-one is definetly wrong
