re: my email! - default thread subscription
Quick links (top bar) >> edit options >> scroll down to thread subscription or whatever it says and change the drop down to "default do not subscribe". Then go into "subscribed threads" (also in quick links) and select all your subscribed threads and at the bottom select "change to no subscription" then delete them all. Don't forget to save between steps.
I had this problem too and it took me a little while to figure out. I had a few after that for some reason but I went back and deleted them in the "subscribed threads" option and now no longer receive emails, I think the system might take a few days to catch up.
